How Elephants Grow Up
Not all baby animals are teeny little bundles. Readers will learn about some big, but no less adorable, baby elephants. Vivid photographs paired with lively, easy-to-understand text will teach young readers about the lives of elephant calves. They will learn about elephants' unusually long gestation period, the awkward stage of learning to use their trunk and four large legs, and on through to becoming one of the herd, or departing to live alone in the case of young bulls.
